Mom, did you say I could be in your room!?!?
Mom, did you say I could be in your room!?!?
From what my mom has told me, long before I arrived, my dad spent weeks (now that I know him, I would guess months!) researching the best foods available for a German Shorthair Pointer. In preparation for this article I interviewed my dad to learn how he settled on the tasty food that he gives me. He mentioned that after countless visits to Dog Food Advisor, PetFoodTalk, Dog Food Guru, Dog Food Insider, Amazon and endless number of DuckDuckGo searches he settled on Tractor Supply’s 4health for a German Shorthair Pointer. He tells me that from his research he learned that 4health provides all the proper ingredients for a German Shorthair Pointer (GSP) like me. After my arrival, my mom and dad discussed their selection with my personal physician Dr. Howton from the prestigious Persimmon Creek medical center. Within days of my arrival they began the transition from Purina Pro Plan to 4health puppy formula. After only two weeks I had almost doubled my weight! I am not sure that is the growth my mom and dad had expected!
Take the poll below and let me know what tasty food you enjoy.
4health Grain Free (this was a big deal for my dad) provides lots of energy and nutrition for active and growing puppies like me and a special formulation that helps maintain a healthy digestive system. The Omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in this grain free food will help give me an award winning shiny coat and healthy skin. At just over 5 months old I am getting fed just under 2 cups pre day. This food is so nutritious and filling some days I can’t eat the entire two cups.
As if it needed more check out all the awesome ingredients included in 4health:

My mom and dad can’t get enough of me! Here I am sporting my newest collar from the great folks at DogWatch. Thanks to them I am able to roam free!
Don’t mind me I am just exploring our backyard. The “Dog Paparazzi” is at it again – I can’t get a break! I can always count on one of my siblings wanting to carry me or someone chasing me with a gadget taking these silly pictures of me – why do all these gadgets have a picture of an 🍎 on them? At just over 10 weeks I am just a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy trying to figure life out! Until next time!
“Dad, not another picture!” I don’t know why these humans are constantly following me and taking portraits, my dad thinks he is a dog paparazzi!
My dad keeps telling me I need to be on the lookout for birds, from what he tells me, when I get older it is something that is expected of me. Humans can be so demanding . My first toy was a stuffed bird from Cabelas! This past week, while playing with my humans, I spotted my first real 🐧, to my dad’s amazement the world around me stopped and all of my attention was on this flying animal! Although my dad thinks this is progress in my training, I long for the day they will let me loose to bring a real 🐦 home. My dad has high hopes of me being a first class #GunDog. Until next time.

What a weekend! My human family was sure in a good mood, they spent all weekend outside with me. My dad was traveling for a couple of days last week and that made me very sad. On Saturday, he visited one of our favorite sports Tractor Supply (they also have my favorite food) and picked up a cool new leash for me. It’s epic in length 25’ – that’s 25 feet for you mathematically challenged humans! My mom and sister hate it. The cool thing about it is I can now roam the pound without any human worry. As you may recall from one of my previous post, my mom and dad keep talking about a fence – I am happy to report no signs of one yet! We also celebrated my human brother’s birthday, it was so much fun. My parents don’t know but my brother game me one of his birthday cupcakes, it was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. Please don’t mention it to them. I hope you enjoy this fun picture of me. Love you all.
