10 Weeks Enjoying the Pound

German Shorthair Pointer Puppy

Don’t mind me I am just exploring our backyard. The “Dog Paparazzi” is at it again – I can’t get a break! I can always count on one of my siblings wanting to carry me or someone chasing me with a gadget taking these silly pictures of me – why do all these gadgets have a picture of an ? on them? At just over 10 weeks I am just a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy trying to figure life out! Until next time!

Dad is that a ?????Bird!

GSP Bird Dog

My dad keeps telling me I need to be on the lookout for birds, from what he tells me, when I get older it is something that is expected of me. Humans can be so demanding . My first toy was a stuffed bird from Cabelas!  This past week, while playing with my humans, I spotted my first real ?, to my dad’s amazement the world around me stopped and all of my attention was on this flying animal! Although my dad thinks this is progress in my training, I long for the day they will let me loose to bring a real ? home. My dad has high hopes of me being a first class #GunDog. Until next time.

Weekend Adventures with a German Shorthaired Pointer

Weekend Adventures German Shorthaired Pointer

What a weekend! My human family was sure in a good mood, they spent all weekend outside with me. My dad was traveling for a couple of days last week and that made me very sad. On Saturday, he visited one of our favorite sports Tractor Supply (they also have my favorite food) and picked up a cool new leash for me. It’s epic in length 25’ – that’s 25 feet for you mathematically challenged humans! My mom and sister hate it. The cool thing about it is I can now roam the pound without any human worry. As you may recall from one of my previous post, my mom and dad keep talking about a fence – I am happy to report no signs of one yet! We also celebrated my human brother’s birthday, it was so much fun. My parents don’t know but my brother game me one of his birthday cupcakes, it was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. Please don’t mention it to them. I hope you enjoy this fun picture of me. Love you all.

Ben the Super GSP Strikes a Pose

Ben the Super German Shorthaired Pointer in Georgia

Happy Monday y’all! While you have been working on this beautiful Monday I have been enjoying life with my family. My siblings are homeschooled, so while most of my other furry friends are enjoying a relaxing day everyone but my dad is home, it feels like Grand Central Terminal (not that I have been there – yet!). We are expecting some rain this afternoon but in the meantime, enjoy this portrait of me. My dad captured this portrait of me “Striking a Pose” yesterday as we enjoyed a perfect spring day in Georgia. If I may say so myself, he definitely captured my good side! Please leave a comment and let me know what you think! Cheers.

One Week Anniversary

German Shorthaired Pointer

This past Sunday marked my fist full week with my new family. Following church service (I am certain my family was thanking God for my arrival!) we enjoyed a beautiful spring day in Georgia. As you can see I am slowly taking over the yard and making it my own!

I overheard a crazy rumor that my dad plans on fencing in the yard to keep me from getting out, the truth is I am sure he is doing it to keep the neighbors out. In the afternoon they gave me my first puppy bath, I honestly don’t understand the attraction humans have with baths, I did not enjoy it at all. The good news is everyone now wants to hug me and kiss me, must be the way I lick. Cheers!
